Arctic velvet has a higher warmth retention than standard fleece. In summer above 25°C, flip the insert cushion to the pure cotton outside face — the product has a reversible inner that is cooler to the touch. Most owners switch faces in April and back in October.
Wash the cover and inner cushion separately. The cover with zipper fastened on gentle cold. The padding insert on a separate gentle cold cycle. Washing them together causes the padding to bunch inside the cover. Both air-dry flat; machine drying the padding causes lumping.
Not pre-shrunk. Expect 3–5% linear shrinkage after the first cold wash — buy one size up if your pet is at the top of a size range. After the first wash, subsequent washes do not shrink it further.
The edges are PP cotton filled, not foam-reinforced. Dogs that press their full chin weight against the rim (typical of anxious or elderly dogs) will flatten the edges within 6–8 weeks. Refluff by pulling the fill outward from the base seam after each wash.
