This is a pet feeding mat, not a sleeping bed. Its function is to catch spilled food and water, prevent bowl sliding, and protect floors from staining. The raised outer lip contains small spills; the high-grip pattern anchors bowls. It is not designed or suitable for sleeping on.
The lip contains approximately 50–100ml — adequate for splash and light spillage. A fully tipped large water bowl (500ml+) will overflow the lip. For bowl-tipping dogs, the mat reduces floor mess significantly but does not eliminate it completely. Pair with a non-tip bowl for full spill containment.
Dishwasher-safe on the top rack, normal or cool cycle. Avoid the sanitize or high-temperature cycle — heat above 65°C can warp flexible silicone-type materials. For daily cleaning, hand rinse; use the dishwasher weekly for full degreasing of accumulated food film.
