Functional Style For Every Season
Dog clothing serves real functional purposes beyond aesthetics. Raincoats keep short-coated dogs dry and warm on wet days. Sweaters help small breeds and seniors maintain body temperature in cold weather. Protective boots shield paws from hot pavement and winter salt.
When Dog Clothing Is Beneficial
Small breeds and dogs with thin coats in cold weather
Senior dogs with arthritis who feel the cold more acutely
Post-surgery protection and wound covering
Anxious dogs who respond well to snug, gentle compression
Sizing & Fit
Measure your dog's back length (base of neck to base of tail), chest girth, and neck circumference before ordering. Dog clothing should fit snugly without restricting movement or breathing. Always supervise your dog when wearing new clothing items.
Frequently Asked Questions
Polyester microfiber drying coats work well after swimming — they absorb initial water quickly and prevent wind chill during the walk home. However, they don't fully dry a soaked dog the way a towel does. Expect the coat itself to become saturated after a full swim and require wringing out. For repeated swim sessions, you'll need to bring a second coat or a backup towel.
The color variants (Coffee, Green, P Green, P Grey, Grey, Blue, Yellow, Orange, Dark Blue, Y Gray) are purely aesthetic — the material weight and absorbency are the same across all colors. Darker colors (Dark Blue, Coffee) do a better job of hiding water stains and dirt after repeated use without looking washed out.
The XL is sized for dogs approximately 55–65cm back length and 70–80cm chest girth. Labradors with deep chests and narrow waists can find that the belly closure leaves a gap. The coat uses Velcro or wrap-around closure — check the product closure type. Deep-chested breeds like Labradors sometimes need to size up one for full belly coverage.
Microfiber polyester retains most of its absorbency for 20–30 washes if washed correctly. The biggest mistake is using fabric softener — softener coats the microfiber strands and significantly reduces absorbency after just 3–4 uses. Wash with detergent only, no softener, on a warm (not hot) cycle. Air dry or tumble dry on low.
These coats are designed for 20–40 minute post-bath or post-swim drying, not extended wear. The polyester traps moisture and heat against the body — wearing it for 2–3 hours once mostly dry will cause overheating in warm environments. Once your dog is mostly dry (30–45 min), remove the coat to prevent moisture accumulation.
XS targets dogs with a back length of approximately 20–25cm and chest girth 28–34cm. A Chihuahua (back length 18–22cm) is right at the borderline and may find even XS long in the body. Pomeranians at 2–3kg fit XS reasonably well. For very small toy breeds under 2kg, the coat may bunch at the neck and drag along the ground.
