The cover is designed for standard four-door hatchback, sedan, and SUV back seat dimensions. Full-size pickup truck bench seats (Ford F-150, Ram 1500) are wider than a typical sedan rear seat. The cover may not span the full width of a truck bench, leaving the seat edges uncovered. Measure your rear seat width before purchasing — sedan rear seats average 55-60 inches; truck bench seats run 60+ inches.

The heavy-duty oxford fabric is water-resistant, not fully waterproof. A soaking wet dog will transfer moisture through the fabric to the seat beneath within 20-30 minutes of sustained contact. For post-swim use, bring a large absorbent towel to place on top of the cover. The cover protects against mud and light moisture far better than against heavy saturation.
Silicon backing generally does not damage leather under normal use. However, on perforated leather (common in premium vehicles), small silicon dots can press into the perforations over time. In hot climates, the heat causes silicon to bond slightly to leather — long-term use and removal can gradually dull the leather surface. Wipe the leather with a conditioner regularly if you leave the cover on year-round.
Oxford fabric is more resistant to casual scratching than fleece or polyester, but a determined chewer (Malinois, Pit Bull Terrier, young Husky) will chew through any fabric car seat cover. The cover protects seats from incidental scratching and dirt — it is not designed to withstand active destruction. Never leave a destructive chewer unsupervised in the car.
