When choosing your dog bed, we suggest the 60x60cm bed for dogs and cats up to 25lbs, the 80cm bed for dogs and cats up to 45lbs, and the 100cm bed for large dog breeds up to 90lbs.
NOTE : When in doubt, size up - no one likes falling out of the bed !
'Vegan faux fur' is a marketing term for synthetic (polyester-based) fur — it does not involve animal products. In terms of durability, it behaves identically to standard faux fur: resistant to light scratching, not resistant to chewing, and prone to pilling after repeated hot washing. The distinction is ethical, not functional.
The raised rim height on faux fur donut beds in this size range is typically 8-12cm. The L and XL sizes have proportionally taller walls than XS/S. The depth of the central sleeping bowl increases with size, which is important for large anxious dogs that want to feel surrounded — a shallow-rim XL provides less enclosure cue than a deep-rim M.
Brown and Black will show white and light-colored cat fur immediately and prominently. Beige is the most forgiving color for multi-pet households with mixed fur colors — it blends both light and medium fur tones. Grey hides dark fur well. Choose based on your pet's fur color: Beige for white/cream pets, Grey for darker pets.
Nothing structurally. This bed uses standard faux fur and polyfill construction. There is no chew-deterrent treatment, reinforced seams, or bite-resistant outer layer. If your dog has destroyed three previous beds, this one will likely meet the same fate. Destructive dogs need a different product category entirely — heavy-duty ballistic nylon or elevated metal-frame cots.
PP (polypropylene) cotton fill is a widely used synthetic bedding material. It is considered safe under normal intact-cover conditions. When the outer cover is torn and fill is exposed, fine fibers can be inhaled or ingested. The fill itself is low-toxicity, but ingested fibers accumulate in the digestive tract. Check the bed cover regularly for tears.
The entire bed — including the fill — is machine washable on the gentle cold cycle. Unlike beds with separate removable covers, this design washes as a single unit. The fill may take 2-4 hours to dry fully in a dryer on low heat. Washing the entire unit too frequently (more than once a month) accelerates fiber breakdown in the fill.
